Today started like a typical Saturday: sleep in, sit around in my jammies checking the latest gossip websites and horse show results, sorted a little laundry, nothing out of the ordinary. Well, that is, until I decided to give Zoe a haircut. I started clipping Zoe during the summer months a couple of years ago, it keeps her cooler, helps her scratch those itchy spots better and eliminates shedding indoors. Plus she LOVES the whole clipping process, I think it's the doggie equivalent of a two hour massage at the spa.
I have been trying to trim her about every three weeks but I skipped her during my last marathon doggie clipping session. (Giving Gidget a mohawk distracted me) In the mean time, her hair had time to completely grow in, and I had noticed a tan colored undercoat, (something she sports in the winter) but I didn't think much about it though, I just figured it was normal. I was WRONG! Look what happened after I clipped her!
This is an "after" photo from the last haircut. Nice and shiny, healthy looking, but most importantly, she is BROWN:

Look what I found underneath her shiny brown coat today:

These two photos are more true to color. The photo above doesn't show how WHITE she is now:
